HRO Summit Europe 2011

SharedXpertise, a community of Human Resources business professionals, will host the 2011 HRO Summit Europe, part of the HRO Today Forum series of Global events.

SharedXpertise, a community of Human Resources business professionals, will host the 2011 HRO Summit Europe, part of the HRO Today Forum series of Global events. In its eighth year, the summit is the largest and most comprehensive human resource outsourcing and operations (HRO) conference in Europe.

This year’s event will feature workshops and sessions focused on the summit’s theme of “HR Change Agents: empowering the HR professional to lead and transform business through HRO”. More than 250 senior executives – including Chief HR Officers, vice presidents of HR and Shared Services Management, and executives from finance, IT and other areas that need to take advantage of the evolution of the HR function — are expected exchange views on managing global operations and improving the business value of HR. As part of its annual rotation of European capitals, this year’s event will be held at the Pullman Barcelona Skipper Hotel, 10, Litoral Street, from November 2 to November 4. The event will commence Wednesday afternoon, followed by a welcome reception.

“At HRO Summit Europe 2011, attendees will work together with other senior HR practitioners to determine how to take advantage of the evolution of the HR function. Our theme for this year is the HRO-Powered Enterprise and how to arm the HR Professional to become the HR-Change Agents in their business. We will present attendees with a vision for the future of HR from the industry’s top thinkers down to practical, in-depth case studies and workshops on HRO that will help them plan and execute immediately,” commented Faye Holland, SharedXpertise’s Managing Director for Europe and conference organizer.

One of this year’s keynote speakers is Lynda Gratton, Professor of Management Practice at London Business School. Professor Gratton teaches an elective course to MBA students on the future of work. In 2009 she was ranked by The Times as one of the top 20 business thinkers in the world and described by the Financial Times (FT) as the one of the management gurus most likely to have an impact on the future. She was also ranked second in the HR world by Human Resources magazine, received India’s Tata Award for services to HR, and was named the 2010 Fellow of the American Academy of Human Resources. As a part of its “summit-within-a-summit” format, the event will again offer interactive workshop-style breakout sessions delivered by leading professionals in the HR field. These workshops include:

Sourcing Summit
As companies make their decision to in-source or outsource, to near-shore or off/far-shore, we test the experiences and challenges of others in an attempt to shorten the decision making process for faster results.

MSP Summit
Talent is the fuel of the HR-Powered Enterprise. Many organizations have turned to Managed Service Programs (MSP) as a Total Workforce Solution to manage and consolidate contingent labour providers, better control costs and enforce standards for quality of hiring. This session will focus on one of the fastest-growing and most exciting markets in the HR services and technology industry and will include contributions from Randstad and Guidant Group.

Learning Summit
For the third year we will discuss Learning and how Learning professionals across Europe are embracing their roles as Change Agents as Learning & Development transforms from content builders to business leaders. Accenture, NIIT and Raytheon will all contribute.

Technology Summit
When it comes to Human Capital Management companies need to stay abreast of the latest technology and ensure their HR systems are working together seamlessly. This Summit will focus on what technology solutions are available today and how to best assess and engage. Many leading technology firms such as Oracle will not only attend, but take part in our Technology ‘Present Off’ to showcase and compare the latest solutions.

Change Management Summit
HR is frequently challenged in numerous organizations with conflicting expectations. From the need to contribute more value and align with the business, to facilitating growth and development for people across diverse organizations and cultures, to the day-to-day responsibilities of training, recruiting, compensation, this Summit will focus on making effective change management decisions within this dynamic and challenging environment.

Recruitment & Talent Summit
Over the last few years, talent acquisition, recruitment outsourcing and certainly lifestyles have changed dramatically. The Recruitment and Talent Summit at HRO Summit Europe 2011 opens a new chapter in attracting and retaining the best talent in a global marketplace. Kelly OCG hosts with input from Alexander Mann Solutions, Kenexa and Futurestep.
