Reforms to simplify and strengthen companies’ non-financial reports

Reforms to simplify and strengthen companies’ non-financial reports have been confirmed in The Companies Act 2006 (Strategic Report and Directors’ Report) Regulations 2013 which have been laid before Parliament. From October 1 this year, part of the reforms, which require the preparation by companies of a strategic report, a company will have to provide information on: (i) the breakdown of the number of men and women on their board, in senior management positions and in the company as a whole; and (ii) information on human rights issues, to include information on the position, performance and future direction of a business.
