VIDEO – Women In Tech – The Big Debate

Manchester’s digital marketing agency I-COM is bucking the trend when it comes to women in technology. Their percentage of female employees currently stands at 47%, almost double the national average of just 26%.

They feel this is exactly the reason why their working atmosphere feels supportive, equal and unintimidating – qualities that every workplace should have. This makes it easier for women to start a job at I-COM, but most importantly, feel welcome.

But why should they aim for an equal balance?

It is hugely important to have an equal balance of genders in the digital industry. Not only does it promote a healthy working environment, but it also means that different opinions and ideas can be heard, challenging the norm and making them better at what they do as an agency.
