HM Courts and Tribunals Service has announced that a new on-line decisions database for Employment Tribunal Judgments will be launched in Autumn 2016. Currently the Tribunal does not have any online facilities for judgments. The new decisions database will allow users to search for judgments using an internet link from any location. This will remove the need for users who wish to view the register or search for judgments to attend in person at the offices in Bury St Edmunds or Glasgow. It is envisaged that the online service will be available for use from Autumn 2016. A decision has yet to be taken in relation to any back record conversion of judgments made prior to the introduction of the new online service. Those judgments will continue to be stored in Bury St Edmunds or Glasgow for users to attend and use the search facilities as before.
The aim is to provide summary information and comment on the subject areas covered. In particular, where employment tribunal and appellate court cases are reported, the information does not set out full details of all the facts, the legal arguments presented by the parties and the judgments made in every aspect of the case. Click on the links provided to access full details. If no link is provided contact us for further information. Employment law is subject to constant change either by statute or by interpretation by the courts. While every care has been taken in compiling this information, SM&B cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions. Specialist legal advice must be taken on any legal issues that may arise before embarking upon any formal course of action.
